We are pleased to announce we have another beautiful baby girl. She arrived at 11:50a.m on August 17, 2010, weighing in at 7lbs. 7oz. and 20 and 3/4 inches. She has dark hair and just so cute!
I was induced on the 17th, I went to the hospital at 7a.m, so early especially when Brilee decided to pull an all nighter. At 7:20 the doctor broke my water, and then they started the petocin at 8:30 it wasn't to bad at first, because the nurse gradually increased the petocin every 20 minutes so it was easier to get used to the contractions. It was also nice because I was able to walk the halls which helped ease the pain of the contractions. At about 10:30 my contractions were getting pretty strong so I went and got checked and I was dilated to a 5, which coming into the hospital I was at a 2. Then at 11:30 I got checked again because I was feeling more pressure, and I was dilated to a 7. The nurse figured it would be really soon after, and within 15 minutes I new it was time, I felt like I had to push and sure enough I was at a 10. They had to yell for the doctor to get in there now! Within two-three minutes of pushing are sweet little girl was here. Brian and I were both pretty surprised that it was a girl.
We had a hard time naming her, and it wasn't till the last day that we were in the hospital that we decided on Karlee Marie Lindquist. She is such a good baby and so fun to have in our home, Brilee is getting used to being a big sister each day. My recovery is going much smoother than last time, thank goodness! We also have had my family out her for the past week, and they have been such a great help. I am going to miss them!
