Birthday/4th of July Family Barbecue

4th of July 5k Race

Here are a few pictures from Brilee and mine's first 5k race together on the 4th of July! Brilee loved it, and she didn't fall asleep this time, there were so many people she could look at. I wanted to run it in 26 minutes and my time was 26:08, that made me happy, it was hard, but fun.

Brilee Gets Ready for Fourth of July 5k

So I decided I wanted to celebrate my birthday and the country's birthday by running a 5k, but I want to do it with Brilee. This is how Brilee trains, she gets lulled to sleep by my running, so while she sleeps, I am working up a sweat. The plan is just to have fun and finish the race, I will let you know how it goes.

Dan and Tori's Farewell Barbecue

June 30, We had a going away barbecue for our friends Dan and Tori Cox. Dan is going off to medical school in St. Louis, best of luck to you both!

A few weeks ago we went down to southern utah for our family reunion. It was Brilee's first camping trip. We had lots of fun, we went four wheeling, biking, and ate lots of yummy food. Brilee loved to be outside all the time, she was such a good baby. The hard part about camping is that it gets cold at night and I checked on Brilee like every hour, but she slept through the night, she really is an amazing baby! As you can see by her face in this picture she has had enough, and so had her parents!

Here are some more pictures from our trip to California, Brilee was such a little trooper. The picture of her and I, Kat took at a restaurant. The other two pictures are of my sister Kat, one on a star, along the walk of fame, and the other at the beach with baby Brilee.

Brian's amazing throw

We just got back from California. We were there to watch Brian compete at regionals in the hammer and discus. It was my first major trip with baby Brilee, and it's much harder to travel with a baby. Lucky for me the flight was just over an hour, and I had my sister Kat with me to help. We went to the Santa Monica Pier and ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp, did the Hollywood thing (not impressed), watched the track meet, and played on the beach!
